Angelino Brozzu - RN Rome
Angelino completed his entire brief service in the Regia Marina on the battleship Roma, whose tragic fate followed on 9 September 1943, disappearing into the sea with it. He was destined for the Route and Communications service and, as the rule required the Aspirants and Ensigns to rotate in the various services, on 8 September he would have had to exchange his assignment with Casini, destined for the Artillery Service. Except that he asked his friend and companion to make him do a further navigation as a subordinate to the route and Casini did not oppose any difficulties. Thus it was that Angelino found himself in his fighting post in the bridge located in the armored tower, where 100% of the personnel died immediately when the ship was hit.
